After a tiring day of work she was walking back to her home and she wanted to cross the signal to reach her destination. She waited for so long and began to cross the road after which she saw a boy coming close to her in a bike. The boy came so close to the girl that she had to pause for a moment but, he had the presence of mind to slow down his bike for the girl so that she could cross the road. She didn’t expect it because she has never seen anyone yet, showing a kind gesture, especially not a stranger while crossing the road. She didn’t say thank you but she echoed in her mind ‘God Bless You.’ She smiled at him and walked off. He started his bike and left. To all her friends and family, she shared this story so that everyone would know about him and would bless him for what he had done. Sounds like the beginning of a love story, right! You got it wrong. This might be a small incident for us, but this pretty explains that kindness for humanity still exists and shows how a simple act of kindness can bring a smile on other’s faces.
Why can’t we try to be good in everyone’s story by being kind to them? Ever thought about this? No, because we are busy living our lives that we don’t have time to care for others. While you live in this world, you receive what you give. So if you show a gesture of kindness, you will definitely receive the same from your fellow human beings, because it’s ‘contagious.’
You can retain positive energy by being kind to the people around you. Kindness is simple, but it showers limitless power which can create a huge impact in your life. The world can be a better living place if the inhabitants be kind among themselves and not live a life competing with each other. It is the easiest thing that you could do where you would also receive a divine outcome.
“People will forget what you did, they will forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel,” said Maya Angelou, which is true indeed. You can always make someone feel special by showing an act of kindness. Kindness will surely bring happiness to you and to the person who receives it and they will also attempt to show an act of kindness to others. Thus, kindness will lead to happiness which will lead to kindness again. Just imagine a world with people who are kind and happy!
Nature itself is being kind in our world. The sun, which offers it’s kindness by giving light to this world helping plants for photosynthesis and humans by giving solar energy. The silvery light of the moon helps us to find paths during night. We are being provided food and shelter by the trees. Why can’t we, human beings, also try to attempt in being kind just like how nature provides for us?
Now, how about the idea of challenging ourselves to be kind to at least one person a day for one month and see the difference and impact that it makes in your life. Kindness quite simply, as Robin Sharma says in his novel ‘Who Will Cry When You Die’, is “the rent we must pay for the tent we occupy in this planet.”Be ready to spread the colours of kindness in life so that the world will become colourful and lively.
